BHSB offers students an innovative counselling corner. Each class has a teacher-tutor, chosen not only for professionalism, but also for experience as a parent.

The tutor periodically and individually meets the students, recognizes any difficulties or weaknesses and with the Class Council evaluates and identifies the best action strategies. If necessary, at a later time what has been observed and agreed upon is shared with the family.

The entire class council, at this point, works in close synergy to support and help the student overcome these difficulties.

If a student encounters difficulties in learning, organizing the work to be carried out independently, or the study method, the school has planned two periods (at the beginning and at the end of the year) in which three teachers of the subjects characterizing this course of study (Italian, English, Mathematics) are available to support the student and show him/her how to organize his/her work.

The chosen activity moments have as their objective:

• at the beginning of the year, acquisition of a good learning pace and an awareness of what the course of study requires;

In the case of students with declared disabilities or who experience learning difficulties, the school provides a SLD support service. The BHSB school, in fact, has an expert in these types of problems (dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia) who will be able to explain the dynamics and methods of activities to the teacher and support the student.
